Corine and Linda began their friendship during high school and built their friendship helping one another and the community of Gila Bend.

This benefit walk is being established to honor the integrity of both these beautiful women, give back to the community they loved, and bring awareness to Corine’s passion of preventing diabetes on our reservation.

After both attended college, they returned home to begin their families and careers and fulfilling their life's work. Together, Corine and Linda were instrumental in numerous charity, fundraising, educational and community events. They both married their high school sweethearts Chuck and Tony and each had two children. Colby and Carrie were Corine’s devotion and Eric and Bryan were Linda’s. Corine dedicated her life to the health and wellbeing of the town as the School nurse for thirty years and diabetes prevention coordinator for the San Lucy District. Through Linda’s determination she was successful in building a strong business foundation for her and her family.
